Return policy

Please understand I am a small single-owner business that operates out of my home. The majority of my items are upcycled, secondhand clothes and accessories. I personally hand-select and thoroughly inspect each and every item and guarantee the quality of those items. I make every effort to be transparent about their condition, color, material, and sizing at point of sale. I am also extremely conscious that online returns are negatively affecting the environment due to an increase in packaging waste, shipping emissions, and landfill waste. In order to help reduce these negative effects and to keep the costs of my items low, I have a limited return policy.

To be considered for a return, you must contact me at hello@thek10collection.com or through your customer account within 14 days of receiving your item to request a return. Your item must be in the same condition in which you received it, with the original tags, and in its original packaging - no exceptions. Items sent back to me without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

If your return request is approved, I will notify you via email or through your customer account, email a return shipping label to you, as well as instructions on how to send your item back. Once I receive the item back and ensure all conditions have been met, you’ll be refunded the full purchase amount on your original payment method, minus the original shipping cost where applicable. It can take several business days for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

Due to the increasing costs of shipping and the negative effects of emissions, customers initiating more than one return per month will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Please DO NOT attempt to return or exchange items that were not purchased from K10 Collection, LLC. Your item(s) must be in the original K10 Collection packaging and must have the original K10 collection tag(s) - no exceptions.

Items purchased on sale, for a discounted rate, or marked as “final sale” are non-returnable.

Please direct any questions or concerns regarding the return policy to hello@thek10collection.com

Measurement Policy

I personally measure each item in my collection to ensure accurate sizing. Sizes are not consistent between brands so please pay close attention to the measurements and sizes listed and, if needed, refer to the sizing chart on the specific brand's website.

I lay all clothes flat when measuring and round up to the nearest ¼ inch.

Tops:
Bust: Measured from armpit seam to armpit seam all the way around garment.
Length: Measured from highest point on garment (typically the shoulder seam) to bottom of garment.
Hip: Measured from side seam to side seam at bottom of garment all the way around.
Sleeve: Measured from shoulder seam to end of sleeve.

Dresses:
Bust: Measured from armpit seam to armpit seam all the way around garment.
Length: Measured from highest point on garment (typically the shoulder seam) to bottom of garment.
Waist: Measured in approximate waist area from side seam to side seam all the way around garment. Because individual's waists can fall lower or higher than the area measured, waist measurements are approximate.
Hip: Measured in approximate hip area from side seam to side seam all the way around garment. Because individual's hips can fall lower or higher than the area measured, hip measurements are approximate.
Hem: Measured from side seam to side seam at bottom of garment all the way around.
Sleeve: Measured from shoulder seam to end of sleeve.

Skirts:
Waist: Measured at waistband from side seam to side seam all the way around garment.
Hip: Located at the widest point between the waistband and crotch seam, then measured from side seam to side seam all the way around garment.
Length: Measured from top of waistband to bottom of garment.
Hem: Measured from side seam to side seam at bottom of garment all the way around.

Height (boots only): Measured from bottom of heel to top of boot.

Inspection & Color Policy

I inspect each item in my collection several times to ensure there aren't any blemishes: Upon receiving the item, after washing the item, when I dress the mannequin, when I take measurements, before I post the item to my store, and finally when I prepare for shipping.

If I do find blemishes I attempt to remove them in the wash. If the blemish remains and I decide to add it to my collection, I make a clear statement about the blemish(es) in the product description, take photo(s) of the blemish(es), and only post them to my Flawed But Fabulous section. That way customers know exactly what they're getting!

I also make every effort to take pictures with good lighting and the best setting on my camera so that the color you see on your monitor will be as close as possible to the color of the actual item. However the photos go from my camera to my editing software to my online store, so there can be some loss in "color translation" along the way. Also the way colors appear on different monitors, laptops, and phones can vary quite a bit so, for example, a dark green shirt may look like a dark blue shirt on your device.

With that said, I make my best attempt to name the color of each item by using a single color chart. If I can't find a match on the chart, I do a little Googling to find the best match I can!
