Inspection and Color Policy
I inspect each item in my collection several times to ensure there aren't any blemishes: Upon receiving the item, after washing the item, when I dress the mannequin, when I take measurements, before I post the item to my store, and finally when I prepare for shipping.
If I do find blemishes I attempt to remove them in the wash. If the blemish remains and I decide to add it to my collection, I make a clear statement about the blemish(es) in the product description, take photo(s) of the blemish(es), and only post them to my Flawed But Fabulous section. That way customers know exactly what they're getting!
I also make every effort to take pictures with good lighting and the best setting on my camera so that the color you see on your monitor will be as close as possible to the color of the actual item. However the photos go from my camera to my editing software to my online store, so there can be some loss in "color translation" along the way. Also the way colors appear on different monitors, laptops, and phones can vary quite a bit so, for example, a dark green shirt may look like a dark blue shirt on your device.
With that said, I make my best attempt to name the color of each item by using a single color chart. If I can't find a match on the chart, I do a little Googling to find the best match I can!
